Climate

The Argentina’s climate is mainly temperate. The north of the country is very hot and humid in summers, with mild and dry winters, and is subject to periodic droughts. Central Argentina has hot summers with thunderstorms and cool winters. Southern regions have cool summers and cold winters with heavy snowfall, especially in mountainous areas.

The record for the maximum temperature of 48. 8 °C was recorded in Rivadavia, Salta Province, on 11 December 1905. The record minimum temperature was -32. 7 °C, recorded in Sarmiento, Chubut Province, on 1 June 1907.
